President Trump’s New Life

Would I ever want to be the President of the United States? I can honestly answer with a resounding NO! Yes, it would be cool to be such an important person but the pressure of the job would not be worth it to me. Have you noticed that just about every president ends his term with gray hair? I’m already getting gray hairs, I don’t want to accelerate the process.

I just read that President Trump is finding out just how hard the job is. He knew he’d have to make hard decisions about important national concerns. But he didn’t realize how much it would change his everyday life.

He can’t go anywhere without the secret service and that means he can’t drive anymore. He said in an interview that he feels like he is in a cocoon. He misses his old life. Although, he was semi-secluded in his old life because of his celebrity and wealth, living in the White House as President of the United States has to be so much different.

I love to drive. When I’m bored I jump in the car and take a drive. I use my driving time to think and even sometimes cry. If you ever see an old lady driving down the street crying it’s probably me, lol.

Driving is fun. It relieves stress. It gives you the feeling of being free. And I’m sure that is what President Trump misses. The freedom of going where you want, when you want, and by yourself.

We don’t often think about the sacrifices our Presidents make to serve our country. That is why we need to keep them in continual prayer. Not just for their safety, wisdom, and health. But also for them to be able to endure the lifestyle that comes with being head of a nation.

In the Bible Romans 13:1 says “Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which is from God. The authorities that exist have been appointed by God.” No matter who is president, whether we agree with their party or not, we are to pray for them. God is in control and they are in office for a reason.

1 Timothy 2:1-2 says “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.”

So please pray for President Trump. Pray that he has peace with his new lifestyle and that he will embrace it with the knowledge that God put him there for a reason. And the Lord will not give us anything we can’t endure.
